Private Clients
Each project is approached with an open mind, a fresh eye and a keen ear. The longevity and adaptability of gardens to changing needs is always considered. I am particularly interested in creating gardens which are independent of mains water and electricity, and which make the most of natural resources and those already existing in the garden. I like to think there is still a place for wit, poetry and objets trouvés in the garden.
The service is flexible to meet the client's requirements. It can include:
- an initial consultation of the brief;
- concept sketches leading to an outline drawing;
- full working drawings and project monitoring of works on site;
- measured topographical surveys for small sites; large sites more economically handled by a surveyor;
- advice about related issues: trees, planning, energy saving, sustainability and the longterm care of the garden;
